For African Americans, history has always been fragile—passed down through oral tradition and fragmented by slavery. Now, as Black elders battle disproportionately high rates of Alzheimer’s and dementia, and as lawmakers across the country attempt to silence discussions of racial history, the past is slipping away faster than ever. Will You Remember Me? is a personal documentary that follows my family as we race against time to preserve what remains, exploring the power of memory and the devastating consequences of its loss.
